Two of Cups:
This is a union where you seek another's cup to mingle with your own. It's the act of union and needing one another. However don't give too often or too freely without receiving another or your cup will be empty by nightfall.

19 – The Sun: This is the Dagaz Rune card. It means day, awakening, illumination and hope. This is why I thought of the Sun card. What better card says day and awakening than the Sun?
Nine of Swords:
This is the Deals in the Dark card. It says that you walk in dark paths that seem ominous, but there are things you can only find there in the dark. This is a card about overcoming your fear to try new things as much as it's about shadow work and finding value in the night.
Some people find power and faith in things that are pure and divine and full of light. Others find meaning and substance and help in the dark. It's worth it to acknowledge the scary and fear inducing, the opposite of love and light.
I chose the 9 of Swords for this card because it's the nightmare card. I can't think of any card better to represent Deals in the Dark than the nightmare card.

Eight of Cups:
This is the daydream to escape the situation of problems that we either won't or can't face. It's your head in the clouds which can take your mind off of bad situations but it can also keep us from facing the truth of our situation and just not deal with it. One side is kindness from pain and the other side is ignorance.

13 – Death: This is the death by fire. Change comes and there is nothing left but the ashes. Everything has burned to the ground. There is no going back because there is nothing to go back to. Everything is ashes. You can't return to how things were. Clear the ashes and start over. Make things that can't burn down.
0 – The Fool: The stories are what's left of our lives. They are what people live off of. People want to be acknowledged for what they've done and how they've lived and what's left is a story. They aren't the whole truth but they are a truth. It's only better to actually live the story. The closest card I could think of with this one is the Fool because he jumped off the cliff and started to live his story and the tarot is the story of the fools journey.
