1
Where am I? (mentally/enotionally)

King of Pentacles: I might not have thought of this as my primary focus, in the moment anyway, but it’s certainly been one of them (e.g. wanting to get on top of my budget this weekend to make responsible decisions). And maybe not a mental or emotional state, but an aspect of where I am (and keep being reminded that I am?). I have enough. I am secure. I am… attempting to be more disciplined though I honestly don’t feel I’m being great at that yet. It is on my mind.

Meaning: King of Pentacles signifies a person who is reliable, responsible, and financially successful. It represents a time of stability, accomplishment, and the ability to manifest your goals in the material realm. The card suggests that you have achieved a level of financial security and mastery in your endeavors. It encourages you to continue to be practical, disciplined, and reliable in your approach to wealth and success. The King of Pentacles brings a sense of abundance, authority, and the potential for long-lasting material well-being.

2
What do I need to see that I’m not seeing?

Two of Wands: (Think I’m sensing energy around me?)

Again, uncertain, but perhaps because of the first card, one of the things that comes to mind (and because of last drawing) is Elyse’s group, spending money on that. I’m actually curious as to whether I may have something left from the repairs check. Anyway: “embrace opportunities for growth, and take calculated risks” stands out. Investing in, and laying a foundation for, where it is I want go, the future I’m aiming for.

Meaning: Two of Wands signifies the need for planning, strategizing, and making decisions that will shape your future. It represents the initial stages of a new venture or project. The card suggests that you have a clear vision and a sense of personal power. It encourages you to step out of your comfort zone, embrace opportunities for growth, and take calculated risks. The Two of Wands brings a sense of confidence, ambition, and the potential for success.

Affirmation: I confidently make decisions that align with my long-term goals, knowing I have the power to create my desired future.

3
What do I need to focus on?

Nine of Cups: Emotional focus. The “excessive indulgence” part has me worried about overspending again, which confuses me after the other messages I’ve gotten around already being financially stable and being encouraged to take risks (including a spending risk it seems). So could be two things: first, both could be true. That I am financially stable, I can invest in my goals and be okay…AND that I may also be overindulging, and that is something I should address. But, with the cups, from an emotional perspective. The point isn’t so much that I am putting myself at risk financially so much as it is that I’m attempting to get happiness and fulfillment from buying thing. The moderation would be meant to help me cultivate gratitude and drawn my fulfillment from better sources. Internal versus external. There is also the possibility that this is about finding happiness or fulfillment in people or other sources outside of myself, depending on them for that, but I think this may be more about my tendency to “get things” and the dopamine hit that gives me?

Meaning (reversed card): In reverse, Nine of Cups' meaning can indicate a temporary setback in experiencing emotional satisfaction or a tendency towards excessive indulgence or complacency. It may suggest a need to reassess your desires or to examine whether your pursuit of happiness is in alignment with your highest good. Reversed, the card advises you to reflect on any areas where you may be seeking fulfillment in external sources rather than nurturing your inner well-being. It encourages you to find balance, practice moderation, and focus on cultivating genuine and lasting happiness.

Affirmation: I am filled with gratitude and contentment, knowing that I deserve and attract all forms of abundance.

1
Where am I? (mentally/enotionally)

Ace of Cups: Not entirely clear, but emotional significance, beginnings or start of a new chapter. Positive. Emotional openness, connection? Heightened intuition? I think if the experiences I had yesterday, the presence I felt today… the steps I’m taking or considering to connect with community, work with teachers… there’s joy and excitement and possibility in these things. There’s a possibility this might signify the start of emotional connection with … deity, land spirits, spirit in general? As that’s always been important to me.

Numerology: It is associated with the number 1. The number 1 in numerology is often seen as the number of creation and self-expression. It represents the energy of individuality and taking action to bring about new opportunities and possibilities. It signifies the power to manifest one's goals and desires through focused intention and determination.

Meaning: Ace of Cups signifies the beginning of a new emotional journey, the awakening of deep feelings, and the potential for love and emotional fulfillment. It represents a time of heightened intuition, creativity, and emotional openness. The card suggests that you are ready to embrace new emotional experiences, connect with others on a profound level, and experience a deep sense of joy and contentment. It encourages you to be receptive to love and compassion, and to allow your emotions to flow freely. The Ace of Cups brings a sense of emotional renewal, love, and the potential for deep emotional connections.

2
What do I need to see that I’m not seeing?

Four of Pentacles: Wow, okay. Given that I’ve been worried about spending more money, whether that should stop me from signing up for Elyse’s group, and then especially after this vet bill (and if I use up too much of my contract money, will that leave me too vulnerable if my car breaks down or an emergency happens, etc.?). First thought? You’re hanging on tightly out of a desire for financial stability, and worried about taking any more risks. What you’re not seeing is that you already have financial stability, you’re okay. You can be secure and stable with what you have AND still be open to valuable opportunities. You are safe.

Meaning: Four of Pentacles signifies a need for security, stability, and control. It represents a desire to protect your material possessions, finances, or resources. The card suggests that you may be holding on tightly to what you have, seeking financial or emotional stability, or being cautious about taking risks. It encourages you to assess your relationship with money and possessions and find a balance between holding onto what you have and being open to new opportunities. The Four of Pentacles brings a sense of stability, protection, and the potential for financial security.

Affirmation: I am grounded and secure in my financial stability, and I welcome abundance into my life.

3
What do I need to focus on?

8 – Strength: Again, this theme of self-doubt, the need to develop courage and resilience, confidence that I can handle what comes to me, to assert personal power. That’s where I need to grow. How would this translate into action? What would help take me in this direction today?

Affirmation: I have inner strength and courage to face any challenges that come my way.

Meaning (reversed card): In reverse, Strength suggests moments of self-doubt, lack of inner strength or resilience, and the need to cultivate courage and patience in the face of adversity. It may indicate a struggle with inner fears, feeling overwhelmed, or difficulties in asserting personal power. It calls for self-empowerment, nurturing of inner strength, and embracing the courage needed to face challenges with confidence and compassion.

Where am I? (mentally/enotionally)

Eight of Swords: As I was talking with my ancestors a lot this morning about not knowing where to start or what to do when it comes to changing how I relate to my family, this trip in particular, fear of failing or letting them down, fear of not doing enough, or freezing, and general confusion. Asked for help.

Keywords: Self-imposed restrictions, Feeling trapped, Negative thoughts, Limitations

Meaning: Eight of Swords signifies a time of feeling trapped or confined by external circumstances or limiting beliefs. It represents a period when you may perceive yourself as being unable to see a way out or make progress in a particular situation. The card suggests that you may be experiencing self-imposed restrictions or holding onto negative thoughts that are preventing you from taking action or making positive changes. It encourages you to challenge your beliefs, question your assumptions, and seek new perspectives to break free from the perceived limitations. The Eight of Swords brings a sense of self-awareness, the potential for empowerment, and the opportunity to release yourself from self-imposed constraints.

2
What do I need to see that I’m not seeing?

Two of Swords: Whoa. what stands out in this portion: avoiding making a difficult choice due to fear, uncertainty, wanting to keep the peace. There’s the potential for finding clarity and the need to trust my intuition, but maybe these fears are blocking that clarity and intuition? Also… balanced perspective (vs the binary all or nothing approach) and gather information (what my therapist talked about re: all the unknown variables that could impact the outcome and the need to have more information to decide how to proceed). Consider other perspectives before making a decision.

Keywords: Decision-making, Balance, Dilemma, Indecision, Stalemate

Meaning: Two of Swords signifies a time of indecision, stalemate, or a need to find a balanced perspective. It represents a period when you may feel stuck or unsure about which direction to take. The card suggests that you may be avoiding making a decision or facing a difficult choice due to fear, uncertainty, or the desire to maintain peace. It encourages you to find a middle ground, gather information, and consider different perspectives before making a decision. The Two of Swords brings a sense of inner reflection, the potential for finding clarity, and the need to trust your intuition.

Numerology: It is associated with the number 2. The number 2 in numerology signifies harmony and balance. It represents the ability to find equilibrium between opposing forces and to integrate different aspects of oneself. It is a number of cooperation, diplomacy, and intuition.

3
What do I need to focus on?

Ten of Pentacles: Similar to yesterday… focus on and celebrate the abundance in my life… much to be grateful for and proud of, both financial and with chosen family… the happiness and security I get to enjoy there… possibly even the legacy I may be leaving as a future ancestor? To the kids, to my niblings, whoever else?

Keywords: Wealth, Legacy, Family, Stability, Prosperity

Affirmation: I create a harmonious and prosperous legacy for future generations through my actions and values.

Meaning: Ten of Pentacles signifies ultimate fulfillment, financial prosperity, and the blessings of family and community. It represents a time of material abundance, financial security, and the fulfillment of long-term goals. The card suggests that you have created a solid foundation for yourself and those you care about, both in terms of wealth and emotional support. It encourages you to appreciate the richness of your life, celebrate your achievements, and share your abundance with others. The Ten of Pentacles brings a sense of fulfillment, legacy, and the potential for lasting happiness and security.

Card Notes
1
Thoughts: This card represents the current state of your thoughts or the primary mental focus regarding the situation at hand. It offers insight into how you perceive the issue or the dominant ideas occupying your mind. It can indicate any preconceived notions, beliefs, or mental patterns that might be influencing your perspective.

Two of Pentacles: My mental focus is currently on managing all the different responsibilities and priorities on my plate and keeping up with them. Work, side contract, tour responsibilities, spiritual routines and exploration. Insurance claim. House work.

Keywords: Balance, Adaptability, Prioritization, Juggling, Harmony

Affirmation: I find balance and harmony in managing my responsibilities and priorities with ease.

Meaning: Two of Pentacles signifies the need to find balance and flexibility in handling various areas of your life. It represents the juggling act of managing multiple responsibilities, projects, or demands. The card suggests that you have the ability to adapt, prioritize, and navigate through the complexities. It encourages you to embrace change, stay adaptable, and find creative solutions to maintain equilibrium. The Two of Pentacles brings a sense of harmony, resourcefulness, and the potential for successful multitasking.

2
Feelings: The second card in this spread represents your emotional state or the predominant feelings you have regarding the situation. It reveals the depth of your emotions, whether positive or negative, and sheds light on the emotional energy surrounding the matter. It can help you understand your emotional responses and how they impact your overall well-being.

Ten of Swords: This card confuses me a little, since the last time I drew it was just before my divorce and that was a really painful time and I had an awareness of what I was losing or about to lose and how much that would change my life. It felt very much like a rock bottom there.

I don’t feel that intensity of lowness right now. This would indicate an intensity to my emotions, either more than I’m aware of, or maybe linked to those moments of spiritual despair I’ve been experiencing off and on. “Defeat”. Maybe the emphasis is on the ending of a chapter, completion of a phase, letting go of the past so as to begin something new.

There’s also the possibility that this might be in reference to my relationship with my family, with my parents, given my upcoming trip and what might happen as I attempt to be authentic and communicate my expectations and boundaries. The possible rejection that I’ve been side stepping via avoidance for years, while telling myself that I’ve been over it for a long time, used to not having family, healed: “It encourages you to acknowledge your pain, release any attachments to the past, and be open to new beginnings. The Ten of Swords brings a sense of closure, the potential for transformation, and the opportunity to rise above adversity.” Wow. Yeah, I think this might be around family? How does this translate into what I need to do today?

Affirmation: I let go of the past and embrace new beginnings, rising above challenges and embracing personal growth.

Meaning: Ten of Swords signifies a time of deep crisis, hitting rock bottom, or experiencing a profound sense of defeat. It represents a period when you may feel overwhelmed by circumstances, betrayed, or emotionally exhausted. The card suggests that you have reached the end of a difficult chapter, and while it may be painful, it also signifies the opportunity for a fresh start. It encourages you to acknowledge your pain, release any attachments to the past, and be open to new beginnings. The Ten of Swords brings a sense of closure, the potential for transformation, and the opportunity to rise above adversity.

Numerology: It is associated with the number 10. The number 10 in numerology signifies the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one. It represents the completion of a journey, the culmination of efforts, and the potential for transformation and growth. It symbolizes the inherent cycles of life, where ups and downs occur, and the opportunity for renewal arises.

3
Actions: The third card suggests the actions or steps you should consider taking in response to the situation. It offers guidance on how to manifest your thoughts and emotions into practical actions. This card encourages you to take a proactive approach and guides you towards the most appropriate course of action based on the insights gained from the previous two cards.

Four of Wands: I’m unsure about this card as well. My best guess is that it’s asking me to focus on the stability and beauty and happiness that I’ve achieved in my life… to be present with that, grateful… and as I’m reflecting on it, I first thought it was a “don’t worry about it, focus on what’s in front of you today, the good things and taking care of those”… but now I’m wondering if this is actually related to the family situation. Especially as I’ve been wondering how to approach that conversation with my aunt and mom, what to say, how much to say, when and how to advocate. I’m really anxious about it. Maybe this is where I’ll be pulling strength from to have those hard conversations. Being grounded in the life I’ve built, who I’ve become, how much happiness and joy and fulfillment I’ve gotten to experience through the choices I’ve made to be myself, the choices that they might not feel comfortable with or want to accept. I wouldn’t trade the life I have for what I would have had, had I not made choices I’ve made, shifted perspectives. The things I’m afraid to show them are the same things that give me a life worth celebrating. There’s strength I’m going to find in that.

Meaning: Four of Wands signifies a time of celebration, harmony, and stability. It represents the successful completion of a project or the achievement of a significant milestone. The card suggests a period of joy, harmony, and coming together with loved ones to celebrate your accomplishments. It encourages you to appreciate the beauty and stability in your life and to take a moment to enjoy the fruits of your labor. The Four of Wands brings a sense of fulfillment, contentment, and a strong foundation.

Numerology: It is associated with the number 4. The number 4 in numerology is considered a grounded and practical number. It represents a sense of order, discipline, and the ability to create a stable framework. It signifies a strong work ethic, responsibility, and the ability to manifest ideas into tangible results.
